Still in the process of painting this. Inspired by the art of Craig Mccracken.

Some commissions are keeping me afloat this summer. I have been painting on shoes for a while, and people seem to like them. I was asked to draw my client's (that feels weird to say) favourite Pokemon. He's a lovely guy from Canada and was a pleasure to work with! This has really improved my painting skills. I made a lot of these during the summer, but I'm going to turn my blog into art that comes directly from my brain bubbles.

Some things look great in my sketch book, and somewhere in the process I struggle to retain the spontaneous qualities.

Another character design finished. This was inspired by Meg Hunt, who is a wonderful illustrator. One of my favourites. I hope I can master dry brush one day, but for now the main experiment is gouache. First time using gouache. I think I have my head around it now.
